ARCHITECTURE THE CITY OF DUCHESSE ANNE - NANTES (44)
This project is part of a rehabilitation of the former Duchess Anne Street Henry IV in the heart of the city of Nantes. Ideally located opposite the castle of the Dukes of Brittany and close to the train station, it was tragically destroyed in a fire in 2004. Almost abandoned today, this project is a hypothesis to revive this monument from the city of Nantes.

It was after a thorough study of the environment, needs and architecture that the idea of making it a cultural complex came to me. Indeed his situation is are bigger asset. So I decided to go to a place that would aim to become or become a place of sharing and meeting. A place that attracts attention as curiosity. This new space will then host exhibition spaces, upscale coworking spaces with auditorium and spaces for restorations.

DECONSTRUCTIVIST ARCHITECTURE
The architecture of this building draws its inspirations from the movement Deconstructivism initiated by Jacques Derrida and exposed to the eyes of the world by Mark Wiggley and Philipp Johnson at the 1989 exhibition of the MOMA. For this rehabilitation I wanted to contrast with the surrounding architecture and especially the "ordered" architecture of the old facade of the Hotel. This is also the reason why it has been preserved to play the role of "theater curtain". It is when you cross the arch of the facade that you discover the new building.
